Áudio completo — The Red Umbrella

Anna lives in a small town. She works in a bakery near the train station. Every morning, she walks to work at seven o’clock.

One Monday, it is raining. Anna has a blue coat, but she does not have an umbrella.

At the station, she sees a red umbrella on a bench. There is no one near it.

Anna does not take the umbrella. She waits.

After five minutes, an old man runs into the station. He looks worried.

“Are you looking for something?” Anna asks.

“Yes,” he says. “I cannot find my red umbrella.”

Anna smiles and points to the bench.

“Is that your umbrella?”

The old man looks at it and smiles.

“Yes, it is! Thank you very much.”

They walk out of the station together. The umbrella is small, but it can protect two people from the rain.

Anna arrives at the bakery a little late, but she is happy. Sometimes, a small act of kindness can change the beginning of someone’s day.
